The former teen heartthrob was serenaded by the boyband on their Las Vegas concert, reliving another sweet NSYNC-BSB moment.
Fans were thrilled when former member of NSYNC, Lance Bass, was pulled up on the stage by A.J. McLean during Backstreet Boys‘ performance of their hit song “Shape of My Heart” at their Las Vegas show. A.J., Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson serenaded Lance while he was smiling widely and clutching his heart.
Backstreet Boys shared the precious moment on their social media account. They wrote, “We really showed [Lance Bass] the shape of our hearts tonight. Thanks for coming by #BSBVegas, brother!”

Although there were once rumors about NSYNC and BSB being rivals because of their battle for chart dominance, it all seemed to be far behind them. NSYNC officially disbanded in 2002, while BSB is still active until now.
Fans at the concert were very enthusiastic as two of the most famous ’90s boybands reunited onstage. A fan said, “I couldn’t believe it was happening– I never thought I’d see my two favorites on one stage together!”
“It was really great to see him and his husband having such a great time at the show, considering all the misconceptions about the whole BSB/NSYNC rivalry over the years,” said another concertgoer. “And Lance looked amazing. He seems to have the fountain of youth!”
Lance’s husband, Michael Turchin, seemed to be as thrilled as fans. He took to his Instagram account to share a short video when Lance was serenaded by the boyband.
Before Lance, another former NSYNC member, Joey Fatone, also paid a visit to BSB’s Vegas concert earlier this month. He also got pulled up on the stage during a performance of “Shape of My Heart” and he definitely caught everyone’s attention by kissing Nick Carter on the lips.
Backstreet Boys’ Las Vegas residency, “Larger Than Life”, is scheduled to end on July 1 after a total of 26 shows.
