The dance-rock band teams up with the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker for the new song which reportedly serves as the lead single of the group’s forthcoming project.
There’s no stopping Nicki Minaj once she starts making music. After her involvement on this year’s biggest releases like Gucci Mane‘s “Make Love“, David Guetta‘s “Light My Body Up” and Jason Derulo‘s “Swalla“, she is yet again featured on a new song, collaborating with dance-rock band DNCE this time.
The group shared on Instagram a snippet and the cover art of the new single titled “Kissing Strangers”. Fans raved about the preview as they shortly flooded the post’s comment section. A fan gushed, “I am so excited”. Another fan commented, “this is going to be epic.” The single is set to be released on Friday, April 14.
In addition, DNCE and Nicki seemed to have filmed the music video for the track. Nicki took to Instagram on Monday, April 10 to tease fans about the collaboration with on-set photos with the band. In the cowboy-bar-themed photo, Meek Mill‘s ex sports a cowgirl bra and pants, complete with cowgirl hat and big hoop earrings. DNCE’s frontman Joe Jonas looks relaxed in casual tee and denim jacket, while his bandmates, JinJoo, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless, look unique in exceptional outfits.
Nicki also shared a photo of her with Joe Jonas on the filming set. In the photo, she grabs Joe’s collars and pulls him close while they look into each other’s eyes. The Trinidadian-born rapper wrote in the caption, “Roughed him up a lil bit on the set of the video. He’ll live. @joejonas #KissingStrangers @dnce.”
Prior to this, Nicki has collaborated with Joe’s brother, Nick Jonas, on “Fifty Shades Darker” soundtrack titled “Bom Bidi Bom”. “Kissing Strangers” is DNCE’s first release in 2017, and it reportedly serves as the lead single of the group’s upcoming album.
